Join attendees from 14 countries and 38 states!  We are honored and pleased to announce our newly confirmed emcees for the conference:Lawrence Ellis, a complexity-science organizational consultant and spiritual activist, andLynne Twist, IONS' former board chair and co-founder of The Pachamama Alliance.  Following each full day of rich and provocative presentations will be evening opportunities to celebrate, relax, or go even deeper. We are planning movies, rituals, transformative practices, and more. In particular we want to call out two special evening programs with storyteller, performer, ritual priestess, and author Luisah Teish and revered teacher, spiritual leader, humanitarian, and scholar-mystic Dattatreya Siva Baba. These are two powerful events you won't want to miss!  Friday night – July 22  Dr. Baskaran Pillai (Dattatreya Siva Baba) – Life Changing Sounds: How Sound, Mind & Matter Converge   Sound vibrations are the building blocks of mind and intelligence, and also of matter. To put it simply, mind and matter are synonyms. The yogis of ancient India knew how to influence matter – bend reality – with their own minds. Today, both quantum physics and yogic science agree that the "observer" is an important factor in the organization of the material world. Dr. Pillai will share powerful teachings and sound meditations to invoke a direct experience of the mind-matter connection.  Saturday night – July 23  Sacred Storytelling with Luisah Teish Our ancestors sat around a fire beneath the deep night sky and explained the sacredness of life, nature, and spirit though the art of storytelling. Their stories provided the guidelines for inner peace, spiritual education, and communal action. In the African Diaspora, myths and stories are housed in the body of cowie shells, stones, seeds, and bones. When these are cast, the voice of the Divine is heard, and the community contemplates the mystery of creation, applying to contemporary life the wisdom that emerges.
